Dysport is a pharmaceutical preparation of botulinum type A toxin. It works by blocking the nerve impluses to the muscles. A very small dose of Dysport is injected into the muscles responsible for causing the wrinkles and lines, allowing these muscles to relax. Once the muscles are relaxed, the overlying wrinkles soften or disappear.
